De Cinema proudly presents the third edition of SPOTLIGHT ON WOMXN DIRECTORS! In the course of a month, we put a spotlight on women filmmakers and directors identifying as woman. With films from all genres, we break the dominating male voices in the film canon and celebrate new perspectives.
Dekaloog
Our resident company SKaGeN present Dekaloog, an ambitious adaptation of the eponymous films by Polish cineast Krzysztof Kieślowski.
Dekaloog follows six characters: a father, daughter, mother, lover, doctor, and killer. In the course of 25 years, from the start of this century to the present. They flirt with the 10 commandments. You watch over their shoulder while they make choices, cross boundaries, and try to understand what good and evil still mean today.
The Associations of Pauline Curnier Jardin
This fall, Muhka presents the first retrospective of French artist Pauline Curnier Jardin. The exhibition brings together twenty years of her exuberant, hybrid artistic practice, featuring films, drawings, sculptures, installations, and a stage for live events. Visitors will be immersed in Curnier Jardin’s unique world, where cinema, performance, and personal or collective narratives merge into a celebratory and layered whole.
