Getting There

De Cinema is centrally located on Mechelseplein and easily accessible on foot, by bike, or by public transport. There is an open-air bicycle parking in front of the building. The nearest Vélo bicycle stations are 084-Elzenveld and 073-Maarschalk Gérard. You can also reach us by tram 4, 7, 12, and 24 or bus 1, 13, 22, 290, and 500.

Accessibility

Assistance: De Cinema is wheelchair-accessible. The tram-stops in the vicinity are equipped with raised platforms. Do you require special assistance or would you like to make use of additional facilities, please email info@decinema.be and we will be happy to assist you.

Free seating: There are no numbered seats in De Cinema. You can choose your own seat.

Age restrictions: A minimum age is specified for family film screenings. Please respect the age limitations.

Parking

De Cinema does not have its own parking lot. There are paid parking lots nearby. Please note the low-emission zone in Antwerp city center: check www.sna.be to see if you are allowed to drive your car into the city.

Ticket info

  • Order online via decinema.be.
  • You will receive your tickets by email. When entering the theater, you can show them on your smartphone or in printed form.
  • Our ticket office is open every weekday between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. (and before or after events).
  • Online pre-sale ends fifteen minutes before the start. Tickets will then only be available for sale at the reception (if not sold out).
  • When purchasing a ticket, an additional €1 per ticket for administration and reservation costs will be charged.
  • Payment can be made by credit card and debit card.

Ticket prices

De Cinema has different rates:

  • Standard: € 9
  • Reduced: € 6,50 (-26, +60, teacher’s card, Friends of the M HKA and groups with more than 15 people)
  • Day rate: € 8 / € 6 (Monday to Friday before 17h, except during holidays)
  • Exceptional rates apply for certain special screenings/events
  • Ten Session Card: € 70
  • Annual Pass: € 200
  • Cineville Pass: € 22,50 / 18,50 per month. Only available at the box office, starting half an hour before the screening begins.
  • Film Class Pass: Dive into film history! Every academic year, guided by film lecturer Wouter Hessels and KASKA-DKO, De Cinema presents a unique experience for curious film lovers and (eternal) students. For €100 (or €80 with a reduced rate), you get access to a series of 15 film screenings, each preceded by a lecture, or followed by an in-depth discussion with a filmmaker.
  • Supplemented refunds: Anyone who is entitled to supplemented refunds, can purchase tickets at a reduced rate, after showing proof of supplemented refunds at the ticket office. Standard: € 3
