In our two screening rooms, located in De Studio, De Cinema offers a wide range of high-quality films, from historical movies to the latest releases. It’s also the perfect place for children and young people to broaden their horizons with contemporary films, as well as to discover film history — we also regularly screen films on 35mm film!
De Cinema offers an educational selection of films aimed at various age categories, spoken in different languages, and addressing a wide range of social themes. You can find our selection here. Of course, it is also possible to choose a film yourself. An extensive selection of educational films can be found at JEF, Mooov and European Film Factory. Are you looking for a specific film that is not in our selection? We are happy to help you find the perfect film for your class.
Support
We offer more than just film:

- An introduction by one of our programmers, a filmmaker, or an actor.
- A behind-the-scenes tour of our analog and digital projection booth by a projectionist.
- Additional support with a lesson package from MOOOV or JEF, a visit to the M HKA, supplemented with a film.
- A film combined with a customized yoga class at our in-house Surya Yoga Studio.
Ticket prices
A film costs 5 euros per student. Tickets for films with live musical accompaniment cost 7 euros per student. An administrative cost of €0.50 is charged per film ticket. Supervisors watch for free. The small hall has a capacity of 48 places. For this, we require a minimum occupancy of 25 people (= minimum amount of 137.5 euros). The large hall has a capacity of 160 places + 4 wheelchair spaces. For this, we require a minimum occupancy of 50 people (= minimum amount of 275 euros).
