Woeker short film programme
During WOEKER, a new multidisciplinary platform for trans*, intersex, agender, non-binary and genderfluid artists, and on the occasion of Trans Awareness Week, we are screening this short film programme about queer lives, bodies and desires. Sometimes intimate and personal, at other times wild and imaginative.
In 3XMINA (Nans Laborde-Jourdàa, 2025), we follow Mina through three nights in Cannes, where performance, desire and identity blur together. THE JEZEBELS (Thanasis Tsimpinis, 2025) takes us into Brussels’ queer pole-dance community, where friendship and chosen family take centre stage. In PUREBRED (Caleb J. Roberts, 2025), a trans man returns to his on-and-off lover’s flat during a heatwave after taking a pregnancy test. IF I’M HERE IT IS BY MYSTERY (Clari Ribeiro, 2024) takes us to a future Rio where a group of trans and queer witches joins forces against a violent order. WHO IS YOUR FIRST LOVE (Jess Gaillard, 2026) looks back at a trans friendship that grew from childhood play and first crushes in a small Swiss village.
