Angela is deaf, and Hector is hearing. When their first child is on the way, their world is turned upside down. Because what if you love each other, but don’t quite share each other’s reality? How do you find balance together again—as partners and as parents?

Director Eva Libertad based this intimate portrait on personal experiences and chose her own sister, deaf actress Miriam Garlo, for the lead role. The result is a sensory, honest film that touches you through silence and sound. SORDA has been nominated for the 2026 LUX Audience Award.
