Beavis and Butt-Head Do America
When their beloved television is stolen, Beavis and Butt-Head’s entire universe collapses. Forced to abandon their sacred sofa, the two iconic slackers venture out into the wide world—if only to steal a replacement from their own classroom. While their teacher tries to convince them that we don’t need a screen “to entertain us”, the legendary couch potatoes hear only one thing: “He said… anus. Uh-huh-huh-huh.”
What follows is a deranged road movie across the United States. While the duo is inadvertently mistaken for dangerous fugitives, triggering a nationwide FBI manhunt, Beavis and Butt-Head remain blissfully immune to the chaos they leave in their wake. They meander through a country they don’t understand, driven by a singular mission: find their TV and—with any luck—finally “score.” The film elevates their infantile obsessions to an art form, where every national crisis is secondary to a well-timed fart joke.
BEAVIS & BUTT-HEAD DO AMERICA was MTV’s (and Mike Judge’s) triumphant leap to the big screen and an instant cult classic. With their signature sheepish snicker, they gave a voice to a generation of TV junkies who resolutely refused to grow up. Guilty as charged! Guilty as charged!
