Bonnie and Clyde
As a young woman, Bonnie Parker worked as a waitress in a café, but in 1931 her life took a different turn. Clyde Barrow started out as a petty thief and went on to become a robber. After being arrested for robbing a petrol station and sentenced to two years in prison, he was released early for good behaviour. When Bonnie and Clyde met during the Great Depression, sparks flew and they chose to live a life outside the law together.
What begins as a series of small-scale robberies escalates into a string of bank heists that make Bonnie and Clyde America’s most notorious criminal duo. Arthur Penn’s groundbreaking classic turned their story into one of the most influential films in American cinema, featuring unforgettable performances by Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway.
