In SIRÂT, Spanish director Olive Laxe takes you on a spectecular trip through the Maroccon desert. While the basses of the inciting soundtrack touch your eardrums, Laxe keeps you on the edge of your seat.

A father (Sergi López) arrives with his son on a rave, deep in the mountains of South-Marocco. He is looking for his daughter who disappeared months ago during one of these endless parties. Surrounded by electronic music, father and son hand out her photo. The search seems hopeless, but they won’t give up and follow a group deeper into the desert. While sand and heat disrupt their senses, the journey forces them to face their own limits.

SIRÂT won the Jury Prize at the Cannes Film Festival. Next to experienced actor Sergi López (PAN’S LABYRINTH, LAZZARO FELICE), Oliver Laxe mainly appeals to an inexperienced cast.
