Godzilla Minus Zero
The war reduced Japan to zero. Godzilla then plunged the country into the minus in 1947. Two years after that disaster, former kamikaze pilot Koichi Shikishima is slowly picking up the pieces. Together with Noriko and their adopted daughter, he fights for a normal family life and a touch of peace. But that hope is cruelly shattered when the three-headed dragon King Ghidorah appears over the mainland, crushing entire cities with hurricane-force destruction.
In GODZILLA MINUS ZERO, the spectacular sequel to the global box-office hit GODZILLA MINUS ONE, visionary director Takashi Yamazaki shifts into an even higher gear. As the military watches helplessly, Godzilla also rises from the ocean—larger, angrier, and more dangerous than ever. Driven by survival instincts and persistent guilt, Koichi hatches a desperate plan: pit the two devastating monster forces against each other in a thrilling fight to the death.
Yet, as The Hollywood Reporter noted, amid all the violence, it is the human pain, trauma, and unbreakable resolve to protect loved ones that truly resonate: “The masterstroke of Yamazaki’s direction is the skill with which he ensures that the human drama remains no less compelling than the monster faceoffs.”
