Two teenage boys and a slightly older Spanish woman impulsively set off on a road trip across Mexico in search of a mythical beach. What begins as a sultry, sexual, and seemingly carefree summer journey gradually evolves into a sharp confrontation with class divisions, political realities, and the social tensions shaping Mexico in the late 1990s.
