For the second year in a row, De Cinema heads outdoors this summer with a series of open-air screenings.

In September, De Cinema, Gravenhof Hoboken, and Blikfabriek join forces for a unique drive-in cinema experience. Everything is in place: a sharp film programme, a giant screen, top-quality sound, cars, and popcorn.

For two long weekends, the site will be transformed into a temporary road-trip destination, showcasing cult classics and iconic contemporary films centred on speed, desire, freedom, and escape. From Y TU MAMÁ TAMBIÉN and BONNIE AND CLYDE to Nicolas Winding Refns neon-noir DRIVE, David Lynch’s wild WILD AT HEART and the post-apocalyptic fuel-fuelled fury of George Miller’s MAD MAX.

The programme also features Abbas Kiarostami’s existential masterpiece TASTE OF CHERRY, John Carpenter’s CHRISTINE, and BREATHLESS (À BOUT DE SOUFFLE) by French New Wave icon Jean-Luc Godard.

On Wednesday afternoons, families are invited for a nostalgic trip down memory lane with FINDING NEMO and BACK TO THE FUTURE.
